How to play

The first player with 3 Gems of their own colour in their Warchest wins at once. The mine has 80 cards: 3 red and 3 blue Gems, 47 Rocks, 16 Treasures, 6 Cave-ins and 5 Junk. Each player has their own 17-card tool deck, including 2 Drills, and starts with 3 tools. These are the default rules; the setup screen has other options to playtest.

Dig. Take the top card of the mine. If it's a Gem, either colour, show it, put it on the bottom of the mine, and dig again. Gems are won from the row, with a 9-Rock trade, or with a Drill.
Main. Play tools and make Rock trades in any order: 3 Rocks draw a tool, 5 draw 2, 7 draw 3, and 9 Rocks find one of your Gems (then the mine is shuffled). A Drill digs the top card of the mine, and you keep it if it is your Gem. A Gold Nugget counts as 3 Rocks.
Excavate. Lay the top 6 cards in a row.
Roll. Roll 2 dice. Your rival may now play Claim Jump to take over this roll. Then choose one die. Your rival may change it with a Magnet, then you may answer. You dig the card at that position. A rival's Gem stays in the row.
Return. Put the rest of the row on the bottom of the mine in any order. This is where you bury your rival's Gems.

Cave-in: discard it and one of your tools. A Canary ignores it.
